Ohana therapy offers encouragement and psychoeducation to individuals, families, and groups. Our counselors are trustworthy partners in healing, who specialize in trauma informed care. Modalities include Play Therapy, Sand Tray, EMDR, Adlerian talk therapy, and TF-CBT. The clinic operates on a sliding scale fee and accepts many insurances, including some types of Medicaid. Join a community for current and prospective foster and adoptive parents. Share joys and challenges, explore creative solutions, and fellowship with others who understand. We meet the first and third Friday evening of every month, at Trinity Church, in Cedar Hill. Childcare for ages 3-11 is available for tips. Group is free, and training certificates are available if needed.
Group therapy teaches new skills in a supportive environment. Our counseling groups typically run 10-12 weeks, and require enrollment. Classes typically run on Sunday evenings, for the cost of $10 per person, and childcare is available for tips.
Singles, couples, parents, caregivers, teachers, nannies and mental health professionals from all walks of life come together for group. This is a collaborative of local individuals, church ministries, businesses, child placing agencies, and nonprofits, partnering together to serve vulnerable children and their families in the southern sector. We meet at Trinity Church in Cedar Hill on the second Tuesday of every month at 10:30 AM.
